Terms of Service
Effective date: May 22, 2026  ·  Last updated: May 22, 2026
Still Waters is a faith community — a quiet place to share, pray, and be known. These terms are written plainly because we want you to actually understand them. By using Still Waters, you agree to these terms.
1

Who we are

Still Waters is operated by Matthew Burleson, an individual based in Oklahoma, United States. Questions can be directed to burleson.matthew@gmail.com.

2

Who can use Still Waters

Still Waters is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. If you are under 13, you may not create an account or use this service. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you are between 13 and 17, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.

If we discover that a user is under 13, we will promptly delete their account and all associated data.

3

Your account

You can sign in with Google or a magic link sent to your email. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that happens under your account.

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile settings. Deleting your account permanently removes all your posts, prayer requests, comments, and personal information.

4

What you can post

Still Waters is a faith community. We ask that everything you share reflects the spirit of that — honest, respectful, and edifying.

You may not post content that:

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines and to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly do so.

5

Your content

You own what you post. By posting on Still Waters, you grant us a limited license to store and display your content to other users of the platform. We do not sell, license, or otherwise monetize your content.

When you delete your account or a specific post, that content is permanently removed from our systems.

6

Prayer requests

Prayer requests shared on Still Waters are visible to other community members. Please exercise wisdom about what personal details you share. Still Waters is not a crisis service. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, please contact emergency services (911) or a crisis line.
7

What we provide

Still Waters is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep the service running reliably, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. We are not responsible for any loss of content or data.

Still Waters is not a church, a counseling service, or a substitute for pastoral care. We are a community platform.

8

No advertising or monetization

Still Waters does not run advertising. We do not sell your data. We do not use your content or behavior to target ads anywhere. The service is currently free and supported personally by its creator.

9

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll do our best to let you know — either through the app or by email. Continued use of Still Waters after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

10

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Oklahoma County, Oklahoma.
